Seed Library

Grafton Grows Seed Library

Welcome to the Grafton Grows Seed Library!

The mission of the Grafton Grows Seed Library is to encourage the Midview community to dig in and garden; empower gardeners from novice to experts; grow lasting connections through a culture of seed saving and sharing; and to reconnect our community to the traditions of growing tasty, healthy food.

How it works

  1. Browse our online catalog or the print catalog located at the Children's Desk.
  2. Request your 4 seed packets by using the online form or fill out a request form at the Children's Desk.
    • Provide your first and last name, zip code of where you will grow your seeds, the seed type as denoted in the catalog, and the name of the seed.  Please provide your contact information (phone or email) if you would like us to contact you to request donations.
    • If making an online request, please wait for a librarian to contact you when your seed packets are ready for pick up.
  3. Pick up your seeds.
  4. Plant.
  5. Grow.
  6. Harvest.

The Grafton Grows Seed Library is available between February 1 and July 31.

Each household is limited to 16 seed packets per cycle.

Library staff will notify the public when they are in need of donations and what types of seeds are needed.  We will not accept donations unless we request them.  All donations must be in the form of new unopened seed packets.  We prefer heirloom and organic varieties.

Thank you to the Midview High School Graphic Design students for creating the official logo of the Grafton Grows Seed Library pictured above!
