Oceans of Fun Magic Show Saturday, July 16, 11 AM Oceans of Fun Magic show with Jim Kleefeld and his puppet friend Parker Possum is a fun, interactive program for all members of the family, in particular those ages 3-12. Bringing years of experience as a library entertainer, Jim is a favorite throughout the state of Ohio for a reason! You won't want to miss this event! Nora the Explorer Saturday, June 18, 11 AM Grafton's own Nora the Explorer is back with her amazing animals! Explore some creepy, cute, and cool critters. Learn about animals from around the world. Feel the scales of a snake, the breeze off of a parrot's wings, or see a spider tip-toe. Audience participation is a must! What It's Like Being a Photographer at NASA Thursday, June 9, 6:30 PM Marvin Smith, Lead Photographer at NASA Glenn Research Center, will speak about the excitements and challenges of capturing imagery of scientific history in the making. He will also show and speak about his abstract artwork, which was inspired by his work at NASA. Harry Potter Trivia Night Friday, June 24, 7 PM Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with a Harry Potter trivia night! Bring your own team of six or make one here. Enjoy pizza and refreshments, enter a Hogwarts-house-inspired raffle, and compete for the grand prize! Ages 12 and up. Event is free for all who register. After spending a lovely 3 days in Oregon, you want nothing more than to be home...however it seems that the airline has different plans. Dressed in your best garb, you embark on an adventure just to get yourself home. Can you get there while the happy vacation memories are still fresh? JUNE The Silly, Snacky Sight Words Digital Escape Room Pre K - 2nd Grade Who is hungry? Let's fix up these sight words and have a snack! JULY The Lost Ladybug Digital Escape Room Elementary through Middle School Lola Ladybug wandered off and found herself lost! She needs your help to get back to her favorite window and the rest of her family. AUGUST The Trapped in the Upside Down Digital Escape Room Middle School through Adults As a member of the Hawkins MS AV club, you are distraught to hear that your friend Will has gone missing. You and the remaining members of the party find yourselves in the principal's office, where you discover a police file along with a strange locked box that you realize contains the mysterious portal between you and Will. Upon closer examination of the evidence in the file, you realize that Will is trying to communicate with you from the Upside Down. Can you decipher his messages and get him back to the portal before it closes for good? Programs require registration unless otherwise notated. Registration begins April 20. PLEASE NOTE: The Library has recently joined the automated, worldwide OCLC WorldShare interlibrary loan service which will greatly expand our ability to borrow materials we do not have on our own library shelves. Being a part of this large system allows us to borrow materials from institutions all over the United States and bring them here for our patrons.
