WELCOME BACK! We're open for browsing and concerned about your safety. GMPL follows the guidelines of the Lorain County Health Department and policies put forth by the State of Ohio. Our goal is to maintain the health and safety of both patrons and staff members. To that point, high-touch areas and computer stations are continuously cleaned throughout the day and hand sanitizer is available at every public desk. Restrooms are open and available, please use at your own risk. All individuals coming inside the library MUST wear a face mask over their nose and mouth and follow social distancing guidelines. We ask visitors to please help us minimize exposure and keep inside visits under 30 minutes. Seating areas have been removed and plexiglass shields have been installed at our Customer Service desk. Library Hours Monday, Thursday, Friday - Noon - 5:30 PM Tuesday - Noon - 7 PM Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday - Closed Hours for High Risk Individuals are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - Noon - 1 PM Library Take Out Hours are the same as our regular hours PLUS Saturdays from 10 AM - 2 PM Library Take Out Library Take Out is available for individuals who feel more comfortable picking up their new or favorite titles in an easy, contactless environment. There are three methods of giving us your list of items: 1. Call us at 440-926-3317 and give a staff member your list. 2. Use the online catalog and place items on hold; you'll need your library card number and a pin to create a list. 3. Email your list to gmplreference@gmail.com.You may check out up to 20 items on one card and we'll give you a call when your items are ready. The Explore Card will give you immediate access to our eCollection including Overdrive, Kanopy, and others. Patrons applying for our Explore Card are not limited on use of our eResources. Once you have registered online, you can choose to come into the Library, show a valid ID, and receive a physical GMPL card. With your physical card, you can check out materials we have in the building such as board games, video games, books, movies, music, and more.
