What do the Friends do?

What do Friends do?

  • Provide financial and volunteer help
  • Encourage gifts and contributions to the Library
  • Support adequate funding
  • Actively participate in Library functions
  • Aid in purchasing items that cannot be purchased with the Library's operating budget

Our purpose is to promote interest in the Grafton Midview Public Library and to improve and expand their services to our community. Friends provide financial and volunteer help and actively participate in Library functions.

Take what you need, and give what you can. The Friend's goal is to make sure anyone in the community who is in need of items such as these, has easy and convenient access to these products.

The Friends of GMPL have added a new Little Personal Pantry for area residents in need of personal products. Donations are accepted to help maintain the pantry. The Friends will take items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoos, deodorants, cleaning products, and more. Contributions sustain the pantry and can be dropped off at the Library. Minnillo and The pantry is located on the parking lot side of the Library and is open 24/7 for anyone in need.

Food insecurity is a reality for many families today. Whether you have a need for food, or you have a desire to give, little pantries help neighbors feed neighbors in need. You can visit the Pantry on Main Street to the right of the Library. If you wish to donate non-perishable items that are not out of date, you can drop off your items in the lobby of the Village Hall right across the street during regular business hours.
